James and Reid Home | Antiques

James & Reid is a showroom that opened in Waco, Texas in 2016. It reflects the style of founder Melissa Hoekstra, which has been shaped over two decades of creating living spaces for the clients and friends. Melissa’s style is a fresh perspective on home design that features distinguished antiques and relics imported from across the world. In Fact, every “vintage” item has been hand selected by Melissa on her many trips abroad. You are sure to stumble upon a unique find that is perfect for your space or a gift for that hard-to-shop-for friend.

Melissa makes several trips a year to places such as England, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands to bring back treasures from the old world to Waco, Texas. The showroom also includes several designer lines not otherwise offered in the central Texas region including Lee Industries, Annie Selke, John Robshaw, Lili Alessandra, Hazel Village, Visual Comfort, 1Canoe2, Rifle Paper Co and many more! They also have a gallery of new and antique fine art, lighting and lamps, gifts, and other oddities.

Guests to the store are invited to take pictures, sit on the furniture, and make themselves at home to take in the inspiring spaces. Hospitality and an appreciation for designed spaces were the legacy inspired by the two generations of Southern ladies that raised Melissa. James & Reid is the namesake of her two grandmothers.
